Dead Pop is the first Plastique Noir's official album, and it is finally receiving a new edition, specially dedicated to those who had difficulty in acquiring it due to the rarity of the original one.

Initially released in 2007 in digital format, and in 2008 on CD, this album was a significant milestone in the discography of one of the most prolific and esteemed Brazilian goth rock bands, who would later on captivate their country and the world with its vibrant music.

In a way, Dead Pop played an iconic role in the early 2000s when, perhaps for the first time in the history of that scene, bands from different cities began to deterritorialize, either through emerging social networks or on tours like Plastique Noir did.

Fifteen years later, Wave Records brings this project back, now on ecopack and also with a luxurious red splatter vinyl version, all filled with photos and texts that revive the spirit of a time when Plastique Noir was just beginning a promising career. The naive yet incisive spontaneity of hits like "Shadowrun," "Creep Show," and "Imaginary Walls" has been revitalized for this release, along with unreleased extras excluded from the original tracklist and dug up from the band's archives to finally be recorded on CD, namely: "Sleeping Masquerade," "Voidwalker," and "Orbitals" (the latter being an original composition by the late former keyboardist, Max Bernardo). As a bonus, this new edition also features a live version of "Those Who Walk by the Night," recorded - technical difficulties on stage included - during the 2007 edition of the DoSol Festival in Natal, Brazil.

Dead Pop é o primeiro álbum oficial na carreira do Plastique Noir, e finalmente ganha nova edição, carinhosamente dedicada aos que tinham dificuldade de adquiri-lo diante da raridade da prensagem original.

Lançado inicialmente em 2007 em formato digital e em 2008 em CD físico, o disco foi um marco importante no conjunto da obra de uma das mais prolíficas e prestigiadas formações do gótico brasileiro, que mais tarde cativaria seu país e o mundo com um trabalho pujante e cheio de personalidade.

De certa forma, Dead Pop desempenhou um icônico papel naqueles idos da década de 00s em que, talvez pela primeira vez na história de nosso cenário, bandas de diferentes centros começavam a se desterritorializar, fosse através das nascentes redes sociais, fosse realizando turnês como o Plastique Noir.

Quinze anos depois, a Wave Records traz esse projeto de volta, agora em ecopack e também com luxuosa versão em vinil red splatter, tudo recheado de fotos e textos que resgatam o espírito de uma época em que o Plastique Noir apenas ensejava uma carreira promissora. A espontaneidade ingênua, mas incisiva, de hits como “Shadowrun”, “Creep Show” e “Imaginary Walls” foi revigorada para este lançamento, assim como extras inéditos excluídos da tracklist original e resgatados do fundo do baú para finalmente ganharem registro em CD, sendo: "Sleeping Masquerade", "Voidwalker" e "Orbitals" (esta última uma composição original do falecido ex-tecladista, Max Bernardo). De quebra, esta nova edição conta ainda com uma versão ao vivo de "Those Who Walk by the Night", gravada (inclusive com dificuldades técnicas no palco!) durante a edição de 2007 do Festival DoSol, em Natal.
